Shivani has exemplified leadership through her dynamic involvement in multiple organizations at Georgia Tech, with her primary focus being on the Student Government Association (SGA). As Student Body President for the 2024-2025 academic year, she has worked tirelessly to address student concerns, create innovative solutions, and ensure that the student voice is heard in shaping the future of the campus. Her tenure in leadership roles within SGA, including vice president of Operations, has allowed her to bring a progressive viewpoint to key decisions impacting the student body. Shivani’s approach to leadership has consistently centered on kindness, fairness, and the belief that small, meaningful interactions can have a lasting impact.

One of Shivani’s most memorable leadership moments occurred during her sophomore year, when she played an instrumental role in organizing FreShGa’s The Final Stand event. As a sophomore advisor, she was deeply involved in the logistics of the event, and witnessing its success was particularly rewarding. The event provided students with a much-needed space to relax and connect with one another, free from academic stress. Through this experience, Shivani learned the importance of teamwork, delegation, and the power of a supportive group working toward a common goal. This event highlighted her ability to create opportunities that directly enhance the student experience.

Shivani’s commitment to Progress and Service is evident in her leadership within SGA, where she continuously works to improve the Georgia Tech experience through innovative initiatives. Her role as Student Body President has given her the platform to advocate for meaningful change on campus, ensuring that the needs and voices of students are prioritized. By combining her passion for service with her dedication to progress, Shivani has made a lasting impact on Georgia Tech, creating a legacy that will continue to benefit the community long after her time in leadership.
