Avril Adams from Easley, South Carolina is a Materials Science and Engineering student. Avril is a founding member and current president of the 5 Rivers Fishing chapter, a subsidiary of Trout Unlimited, a 501 (c) (3) NGO dedicated to freshwater conservation and restoration. Avril has been working tirelessly to make sure that the organization provides students interested in outdoor recreation and environmental advocacy a place to find community by both fostering an inclusive, welcoming space on campus and by connecting students with established members of the broader Trout Unlimited community. Avril has also been involved with Student Government Association and the MSE Undergraduate Advisory Council.
