During her time at Georgia Tech, Charu organized various events and activities to raise awareness about Hinduism, foster a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative environment, and provide a platform for students to find a community on campus. The aim of progress guides her work, which has allowed her to grow participation in Hindu YUVA (Youth for Unity, Virtues, and Action) by over 600% in the last year, increase the number and variety of events they organize, and include aspects of member growth and leadership development in their activities. 

As I see the campus community, the Atlanta community, and the whole world as my family, I have a passion to shape and better the society we live in by providing for the needs of students with various religious resources as well as through selfless service and volunteering activities.
