Gabriela, president of Latin American Student Organization (LASO), fosters a sense of community among students of Hispanic descent and those who are interested in Hispanic/Latinx culture by organizing events that encourage social, cultural, and academic interaction. She believes progress is worthless without service and prioritizes community service projects for herself and for LASO. 

I have helped other students who once felt like I did at such a prestigious institution, alone and like an imposter.
