After stumbling upon a Spreading Messages In Love & Encouragement (SMILE) event during the pandemic, Heather felt an overwhelming sense of joy and belonging. When she served as president of SMILE, she oversaw over 20 events, a 14-person leadership team, and over 75 members dedicated to building a more positive campus culture by spreading joy. 

SMILE gave me the wonderful opportunity to meet students from all over campus and interact with them in a way I would not have had the chance to otherwise.
