Kayden’s leadership journey at Georgia Tech reflects a deep commitment to Progress and Service, particularly through her work with FASET Orientation. As a FASET Leader, Kayden played a key role in guiding incoming students through the challenges of starting college, ensuring they felt seen and supported. Drawing from her own experience of arriving on campus early through the iGniTe program, Kayden understood the uncertainty and excitement that comes with transitioning to college life. Her dedication to creating meaningful connections inspired her to become a source of reassurance for new students, helping them feel confident and capable as they began their Georgia Tech journey. 

Kayden’s impact expanded when she became a FASET Cabinet Member on the Staff Development Committee. In this role, she shifted her focus from supporting individual students to strengthening the program itself by training and mentoring 42 new leaders. Kayden refined the training process, enhanced leaders' understanding of campus resources, and developed strategies to help them better connect with students. Her leadership ensured that every FASET leader was equipped to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for incoming students. By investing in future leaders, Kayden created a lasting impact that will continue to benefit Georgia Tech’s new student community for years to come. 

One of Kayden’s most memorable leadership moments happened unexpectedly in the Student Center when a student recognized her as their FASET Leader. The student shared how their first semester had been going and how Kayden’s guidance had given them the confidence to thrive at Georgia Tech. This interaction reinforced for Kayden the importance of small but meaningful moments of connection. Through her work with FASET, Kayden has embodied Georgia Tech’s motto of Progress and Service by improving the orientation experience and empowering new students to navigate their transition with confidence. Her leadership has not only shaped the program but also strengthened the Georgia Tech community, leaving a legacy of support and belonging.
