Kiran found her passion for engineering upon arriving at Georgia Tech when he discovered the CORE program run by Outdoor Recreation at Georgia Tech (ORGT). Through ORGT, Kiran found a supportive community that provided a sense of belonging and opportunities for personal growth. His involvement cultivated leadership skills and sparked her deep appreciation for the outdoors, leading her to become a sea kayaking instructor and to revitalize ORGT sports programs. This experience inspired Kiran to intertwine engineering with his interests in community and sustainability, contributing to organizations such as Urban Agriculture and Students Organizing for Sustainability.
