Narges is dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and fostering a strong sense of community at Georgia Tech. She has advocated for and is in the process of introducing mental health sessions for graduate students in the School of Computer Science (SCS), aiming to reduce stigma and increase awareness of available resources. Narges has also proposed embedding mental health-related questions in student surveys to better understand and address evolving needs. Currently serving as the Vice President of the School of Computer Science Graduate Student Association (SCS-GSA), and previously the event co-chair, she has organized community-building events like Lunch with Labs and the SCS-School of Cybersecurity and Privacy (SCP) Gala to create opportunities for collaboration and support among students, faculty, and staff.

One of Narges’ most memorable leadership experiences was organizing the first-ever College of Computing Graduate Welcome Event in Fall 2024. Expanding on a successful SCS event from the previous year, she collaborated with all five schools within the College of Computing to host a gathering of more than 600 attendees. This initiative strengthened inter-school relationships and laid the foundation for the establishment of the Graduate Student Advisory Council, a platform for student representatives to address student concerns, advocate for academic and professional development initiatives, and improve policies affecting graduate students.

Narges exemplifies Georgia Tech’s motto of Progress and Service through her efforts to create opportunities for academic growth, mentorship, and well-being. From organizing poster symposiums and alumni fireside chats to leading initiatives like "Failing Your Way to Success in Grad School," she has worked to provide students with valuable resources for success. Through mentorship programs, faculty integration efforts, and graduate student events like Admit Day, Narges continues to build a stronger, more supportive graduate student community at Georgia Tech.
