Nitya is an impassioned advocate for community building at Georgia Tech. As a member of Best Buddies, she has played a transformative role in revitalizing the organization, which fosters connections between students and adults with and without intellectual or developmental disabilities. Despite challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Nitya’s dedication to creating a safe and welcoming space led to the expansion of the organization. Through her tireless efforts in planning and hosting events, Nitya has provided invaluable opportunities for social skill building and meaningful interactions, profoundly impacting others' lives.
