Simran’s time at Georgia Tech has been defined by her unwavering commitment to Progress and Service. As a dedicated member and leader within the Ramblin’ Reck Club, FreShGA, and the Student Government Association (SGA), she has left a lasting impact on campus through her thoughtful leadership and strategic vision. As treasurer and later president of Ramblin’ Reck Club, Simran expanded the Campus Outreach budget by an impressive 400%, empowering members to pursue their passions and create more opportunities for student engagement and joy. Her creation of the Ramblin’ Reck Club Alumni Foundation, the 1930 Society, reflects her long-term commitment to ensuring the financial stability and future success of the club. In SGA, Simran has been a consistent advocate for improving student organization funding and increasing transparency, recognizing the importance of equitable access to resources for all student groups.

One of Simran’s most transformative leadership moments came during a challenging period in Spring 2024. Balancing two presidential positions in both RRC and FreShGA, alongside her academics and personal well-being, tested her strength and resilience. Known as the “RRC Firefighter,” she often carried the weight of others’ stress to ensure smooth operations within the club. However, this period taught her the value of vulnerability and the strength of leaning on others for support. After an honest and open conversation with her executive boards, Simran rediscovered the importance of shared responsibility and community. This experience reshaped her leadership philosophy, reinforcing that true leadership is not about carrying the burden alone but about building trust and empowering others to rise together.

Simran’s impact extends far beyond the immediate results of her leadership roles. Through her work with FreShGA, she helped create the Fall Leadership Development Program, equipping new student leaders with the skills and confidence to thrive at Georgia Tech. Her passion for improving the student experience, particularly for first-year students, stems from her belief that a strong sense of belonging early on can transform the college journey. Simran’s ability to identify gaps in the student experience and address them with thoughtful, strategic solutions reflects her deep dedication to the Georgia Tech motto of Progress and Service.
