Since his first year, Suhaas has made a meaningful impact at Georgia Tech through his leadership as a Healthy Jacket Peer Educator with the Wellness Empowerment Center. His work has centered on building connections and ensuring that every student feels supported, especially those without a built-in support system. As an only child and the oldest cousin in his family, Suhaas understands the importance of having someone to rely on. This inspired him to create spaces where students feel heard and connected. His involvement with the WE Center and Department of Well-Being Action and Transformation Department resulted in the development of eight core goals that now guide student well-being initiatives. As a part of SGA's Public Health Committee, Suhaas is leading a project to implement an automated medication delivery system using Starship robots, aiming to ease the burden on students who are too ill to pick up prescriptions. His leadership reflects a deep commitment to improving student health and access to resources. 

One of Suhaas’s most memorable leadership moments was delivering a presentation on heart health management awareness at a local elderly care facility as part of the Nourish Project. A conversation with an elderly woman from Punjab highlighted the long-term struggles with health access and the powerful impact of sharing knowledge and creating supportive spaces. This experience reinforced Suhaas’s understanding that leadership is not just about organizing events but about listening and addressing real needs. He has collaborated with campus departments and student organizations to connect students with essential resources such as SGA’s Emergency Fund and Klemis Kitchen to reduce financial and health-related stress. 

Suhaas has exemplified Georgia Tech’s motto of Progress and Service through his research at the Cardiovascular Fluid Mechanics Lab and his role as a teaching assistant (TA) for BMED 3600 and BMED 3100. His research contributions have been presented at the GT Undergraduate Research Symposium, strengthening the connection between engineering and healthcare. As a TA, Suhass has created a supportive learning environment, helping students navigate academic challenges with confidence. His commitment to Progress and Service extends to his future goals, where he hopes to pursue an M.D. and continue empowering others through healthcare and education.
