Susannah has made a lasting impact on the Georgia Tech community through her leadership in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE). As a member of the ECE Ambassadors since 2022 and president since Fall 2023, she has strived to build a supportive and collaborative environment for students in one of the most academically challenging programs at Georgia Tech. Recognizing the prevalence of imposter syndrome within ECE students, Susannah co-founded a peer tutoring and advising group to promote mentorship and knowledge-sharing opportunities. She also reinstated Faculty-Student Luncheons, helping to strengthen communication between students and professors, further promoting a sense of community within the department.

One of Susannah’s most memorable leadership moments came during an ECE Faculty-Student Luncheon when a student who she’d previously given a Van Leer tour approached her and shared that she had been the reason they chose to attend Georgia Tech. This powerful moment reinforced her commitment to connecting with students and building a stronger, more connected community. It was incredibly rewarding for Susannah to hear that she had made such an impact on someone's journey and to know that she’s helping shape the experiences of future engineers.

Through her work, Susannah has exemplified Georgia Tech’s motto of Progress and Service. She has not only worked to restore important initiatives that were lost during the pandemic, but she has also continuously improved programs by gathering and incorporating student feedback. Her dedication to service is evident in her role as a mentor, tutor, and organizer of academic resources, all designed to help students succeed. By combining her commitment to progress with a genuine desire to serve others, Susannah has made a meaningful impact on student success and program development.
