Organizational Development
The second pillar of the GOLD Route centers on the ways a participant can engage and grow the development of an organization or program they belong to.
Items in this pillar will assist leaders in identifying a way their organization could grow (i.e., grow and maintain membership, host a successful officer election) and then applying behaviors or initiatives to meet that goal.
Participants can anticipate workshops such as: Managing the Middle, How to host a successful meeting, Maximizing the team’s strengths, and much more.
Required Items
(4) Workshops categorized as GOLD Route: Pillar 2 events
(1) Pillar Reflection - in this self-guided activity, participants will reflect on what they learned in this pillar, how it has impacted their understanding of leadership, and at least 1 way they can implement what they have learned in their leadership role.
Outcomes
As a result of completing this pillar, participants will be able to
- identify and articulate to peers at least 2 areas in which the organization may improve or grow
- apply behaviors, resources, activities, or initiatives which aid in meeting identified organization development goals
- articulate one metric by which the organization can assess their improvement or growth in meeting an organization development goal
