Questions?

The Center for Student Engagement is here to help!

Active

Student organizations that are active are up-to-date and are in good standing with the Center for Student Engagement.

Annual Registration Process

Each spring, all registered student organizations (RSOs) are required to complete an annual registration process. This ensures that each organization updates its profile and information with the Institute, and meets the eligibility requirements outlined in the Registered Student Organizations Policy.

Faculty/Staff Advisor

All Registered Student Organizations (RSO) must have a Faculty/Staff Advisors. Faculty/Staff Advisors are full-time, salaried employees of either Georgia Tech or GT Alumni Association. RSO Advisors may not be eligible for overtime pay.

Finance Officer (FO)

All Registered Student Organizations are required to elect or appoint a Finance Officer (Treasurer) to manage their financial matters. The treasurer should keep the officers and members informed about the student organization’s financial activities. The Finance Officer should also be responsible for collecting dues.

Suspended

Student organization portals will be Suspended in Engage if they have not completed the Annual Registration process by the deadline.

Officer Onboarding Training

The Officer Onboarding Training curriculum is designed to provide RSOs with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully register their organizations and transition their officer leadership. To receive credit for watching the Mandatory Training, at least ONE Officer will need to watch the training and complete the training quiz.

Roster

The roster will show you a list of all your organization's members and information about your organization's primary contact. When viewing your organization's full roster, you will see members of the organization along with their photo and position, and then a list of general members who do not hold the position.

Senior Executive Officer (SEO)

The Senior Executive Officer is the primary student contact for the registered student organization and the “external spokesperson” of the group who regularly interacts with other student organizations and Institute officials. They are the liaison between the registered student organization and the Advisor and other Institute or community contacts.

Inactive

Failure to complete annual registration 2 years in a row will result in an RSO becoming inactive.
