Extended Leadership Experiences are those which grow or change our knowledge, skills, aptitude, and experience with leadership roles. 

Examples of Extended Leadership Experiences include: holding an officer position in a student organization, serving on the team for an office/department program (e.g., FASET Cabinet, GT Tour Guides), serving on a service trip (e.g., Alternative Service Break, Engineers Without Borders), holding a position on campus (Resident Assistant, PL, Intramurals Referee, Student Assistant), Teaching Assistant, or any other experience in which your leadership skills, experience, or aptitudes grow or change. 

Submitting an ELE for GOLD Route Credit

1. Log in to Engage (engage.gatech.edu) using your GT credentials. 

2. In the top right corner of the Engage home page, click your name/profile photo to open your User Drawer. 

3. In the User Drawer, select "Experiences." 

4. Select "Add Experience" by clicking the blue button in the top right corner of the page; then select "Extended Leadership Experience (GOLD Route)." 

5. Complete the ELE Form, including these questions: 

  • Describe the role and responsibilities you held during this experience. Who was impacted by your role/leadership? How and why were they impacted?
  • If applicable, share the name of the student organization, office, or entity which sponsors this leadership experience. 
  • Provide a 3-4 sentence reflection on how this leadership experience has impacted you and your leadership skills, style, or knowledge.
  • (Optional) If applicable, share the website of the student organization, office, or entity which sponsors this leadership experience. 
  • (Optional) If you'd like to provide any additional information, you may share it here. 
  • (Optional) If you would like to provide any additional documentation or reflection (i.e., a photo, certificate of completion, etc.), you may do so here.
